Welcome to Conchur Tamaskans, the Pacific Northwest home of the Aatu Tamaskan... man’s best friend in wolf’s clothing©.  We are pleased to be introducing this lovely breed into the United States.  The word "Aatu" means "Noble Wolf" in Finnish to honor the breed's roots and "Tamaska" means "Mighty Wolf" in North American Indian language.  These gentle dogs were bred to physically resemble wolves but are not wolf-hybrids. Their temperament is akin to a companion dog with the structure and stamina of dogs in the working group.  The Aatu Tamaskan is sweet natured and good with children and small pets; this has made them a favorite among wolf lovers.
