June 2010 Inna has gone into heat, and we hope to have puppies by the end of August. In early June, Mikko had his OFA certified hips and elbows done, we just got word that his hips are "Excellent" and elbows
"Normal".

January 2010 Mikko passed the AKC Good Citizenship Exam and now has his CGC Certification.

November 2009  Several months ago, a small group of former TDR (Tamaskan Dog Register) registered Tamaskan breeders disassociated themselves from the UK Tamaskan Dog Group.  Recently, a research report was presented based on first person accounts, written documentation and archived websites.  The facts are the facts.  Rather than dispute the information presented, the TDR has elected to malign former members in good standing, misstate or intentionally omit important details, and disrupt the free flow of information.  In actual fact, to present evidence that they are being forthright and honest now, would require that they admit fraudulently misrepresenting themselves and their breed in the last 4 - 5 years.  It is not a question of whether "we are telling the truth", or "they are telling the truth", but rather a question of "Were they telling the truth back in 2005 - 2007?" or "Are they telling the truth now?".  So you see, that presents a bit of a conundrum and that is why rather than immediately provide evidence that we are in error, they have elected to malign the character of anyone who has questioned them or left the group, and continue to mislead by misstating facts and to attempt to remove the information by shutting down the website.  If you go to the Tamaskan Dog Forum, you will find character assassination, assumptions, personal opinions, conjecture, naiveté on the part of inexperienced breeders, and an incredible amount of outrage and vitriol... but no substance or fact.  For those of you who have children, you will recognize this pattern immediately... BUSTED! I do not wish to be engaged in this kind of childish behavior.  My dogs, their health and my breeding program were the reason why I got involved and the reason why I will let the hens cackle on without me. As my dad would say, "Put up or shut up".  If you are interested in my take on all of this, this will be my one and only personal response.

August 2009  With expectations of a Fall/Winter breeding it looks like Inna is starting her heat cycle.   Both she and Mikko have passed all of their health testing and are old enough for a first litter.  We will keep you posted.

July 2009  Mikko, Inna, as well as their Havanese housemates go in for a group BAER testing, all passing.

June 2009  Inna passes her next round of health testing with OFA preliminary hips, OFA patellas, OFA elbows and PENNHIP.

January 2009  The Rose City Classic in Portland, Oregon is one of the biggest dog shows in town. Mikko was a real showstopper as many approached us to inquire about the breed. Great job as Ambassador of the Breed, Mikko!
