Thank you for your interest in our Aatu Tamaskan puppies. The Aatu Tamaskan is a very intelligent, sweet dog and playful companion. They are bred to be companion dogs with a very mellow temperament and gentle disposition. As such they get along well with other dogs and animals.
In fact, they do not like to be left alone, and problems such as escaping and destructive behaviour may well be encountered. They are not suitable as watch dogs. As a "pack" dog they are better suited to the company of another dog, or dogs, unless you can give them your full attention. Although they are very intelligent, they can be somewhat stubborn. But with careful, gentle persuasion and lots of rewards, you can get them to comply. They are an active breed and need a good deal of exercise which includes a daily long brisk walk or jog. They can be let off lead and, if trained, will return. They need free running space and time and, like all intelligent breeds, plenty of mental exercise.
Please note that completion of this application does not ensure you will receive one of our puppies. These questions are designed to help us get to know you better so we can make the best match possible between a puppy and your family and lifestyle. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. You will be notified once your application has been processed and approved. Because of the intense interest in this breed, a nonrefundable 10% deposit of $200.00 may be requested once your application is approved. Please be advised that as a rare breed, the waiting list for an Aatu Tamaskan puppy may be long. There are only a handful of breeders in the US and the demand is much higher than the supply. Rest assured that it will be well worth the wait. In the interim you may want to check out the Tamaskan Breeder's Association website for information and updates on upcoming litters.
